Exterior Windows Repaired & Painted

About the client

A letting agent contacted us regarding windows in Mansfield town centre that required painting. The property’s location meant the work needed to be approached carefully, with consideration given to access, safety, and the surrounding area.

The Brief

The windows were located in a busy town centre area with high levels of traffic. Because of the location and access requirements, scaffolding needed to be installed before the work could begin. This also required a permit to be arranged and in place.

Once the permit had been secured and suitable weather conditions were available, the work was able to start. The main challenge was ensuring the project could be carried out safely and at the right time, while working around the practical restrictions of a high-traffic location.

Our approach

When the work began, it became clear that some areas of the windowsills were rotten. Rather than simply painting over the affected areas, the rotten wood was removed to properly prepare the windowsills for repair.

Repair Care Dry Flex 4 was then used to replace and rebuild the damaged areas before the windows were made ready for painting. This allowed the team to address the underlying issue and ensure the surface was properly prepared before the final finish was applied.

Results

Using our skills and knowledge, we were able to save the windows and sills rather than replacing them. The finished result gave the windows a fresh appearance, while the repaired sills helped improve their condition for the years ahead.
